Our Beliefs

We hold in common with all Christians a faith that is the mystery of salvation in and through Jesus Christ. It is in and through God’s redemptive love that the activity of the Holy Spirit is manifest on humans.
The Spirit applies to the church what Christ has accomplished for the church. Salvation is purposed by the Father, accomplished by the Son, and applied by the Holy Spirit. Our salvation is IN Christ alone and our salvation is IN his Spirit alone. (John 16: 13-15: Ephesians 1: 3-14; 2 Timothy 2: 5.)
We understand that all Christians are part of Christ’s Universal Church and through proclamation, worship, and service to and for others do we conform more wholly to Christ.
(1 Corinthians 12: 13, Matthew 7:12, Ephesians 4: 32, Matthews 20: 26-28)
We believe that the reign of God is both a present and future reality.
(Matthew 11:12, Colossians 1: 13)
We believe that the authority of Scriptures is a matter of faith, that Justifying Grace is the assurance of forgiveness that comes from repentance, from turning toward God’s gracious gift of new life.
It is being reconciled and realigned with God and the acceptance of God’s atoning act in Jesus Christ. (1 John 1:9; Ephesians 2: 8-9, 4: 32; Matthew 6: 14; Colossians 3: 13)
We believe that it is the responsibility of all Christians to build up the church by offering their time, talents, tithes and presence in ministry and service to the world.
(James 1:17; Matthew 16:25; Hebrews 10: 24-25)
We believe all Christians make up the Church which is the essential oneness in Jesus Christ
(Romans 12: 4-5)
Every Religion has its distinctiveness and uniqueness elements. John Wesley implemented a method of studying and exercising Christianity that even though it was not unique Biblically, it was unique in application. He believed that the implementation of genuine Christianity in the lives of believers showed itself through the process by which they examined life’s questions (through these criteria):

1st       - Revealed by Scripture

2nd      - Illuminated by Tradition

3rd       - Verified by and with Personal Experiences

4th       - Confirmed by Reason

First and foremost, one should uses Scripture and God’s grace and unmerited favor toward us.
