About Us

We at Wesley Memorial have always tried to make this a place of love, hope, safety, and forgiveness. We are trying to create a place that will be a place that you feel that you belong. We want to provide Scriptures that feed the hungry and living water for the thirsty. We are overjoyed that you may be our guest. We want you to know are invited and you are loved. If this is your first-time visit, come on in - we've been waiting for you. You will be warmly welcomed here.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
Hebrews 10: 24-25
We would be honored if you would fill out a Guest Card when you arrive and turn it in to the information desk – we have a surprise gift for you. This will allow us to keep you up to date with activities and programs that are going on in our church. We have programs for most ages and would love the opportunity to open more. Look over what we have to offer and feel free to ask any questions that you may have. We are here to serve and welcome. May God bless you richly.

Our Team

Pastor Dan Money

In His Service Together
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I would like to introduce
myself and say what a great honor it will be to serve as your pastor. I am Reverend Dan Money, an elder in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. I grew up in Davidson County, North Carolina, and graduated from North Davidson High School. I attended High Point University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in 1992 where I studied Biology and Chemistry.

Before going into ordained ministry, I worked for a few years as a Chemist and then as a High School science teacher. I met my wife Kimberly when her father, Rev. James White, was appointed as the minister of my home church. It's was around this time that I started to pray about and discern a call into ministry that I believed I received from God. I began my seminary education at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. Kimberly and I were married in 1998 while I was a student at Asbury. After two years at Asbury, I transferred to Duke University Divinity School after receiving my first appointment in the Western NC conference. I graduated from Duke in 2003 with a Master's of Divinity degree. I was ordained as a probationary member in 2004 and an Elder in full connection in 2007. Wesley Memorial will be my fourth appointment. Previously, I served six years as senior pastor of the Denton Circuit - Canaan and First UMC, thirteen years as Associate pastor of Muir's Chapel UMC of Greensboro and five years as senior pastor of Bethany UMC of West Jefferson. I enjoy outdoor activities like fishing, camping, hiking, ATV riding and growing a garden. I also enjoy wood carving and painting.

My wife, Kimberly also graduated from North Davidson High School. She completed her Undergraduate work in Music Education and Spanish at Greensboro College and holds a Masters degree, Educational Specialist, and Doctorate degree from UNC Greensboro in Educational Leadership and Administration. Kimberly has been a teacher, assistant
principal, principal, and district administrator in the Davidson County School system and in the Rockingham County School system. She is now an Assistant Professor and Program Director for the Masters of School Administration Program at Appalachian State University.

Our daughter, Kaylee graduated in 2023 from Ashe County High School. She is a rising sophomore at Appalachian State University. She is a flutist and music education major. Kaylee also enjoys playing the guitar, piano, singing, and writing her own songs.

We feel very called to Wesley Memorial and consider ourselves blessed to have this
opportunity.
